The sub frame project has begun..

Definitely not too far apart Fratzog.. PM me if you want to stop by to see the action.:3gears:

I'd love to see it when complete. There was that car's twin for sale in Hamilton for the past year. Always showed up at the Hutch's cruise night.

Not much happened to day other than cleaning parts. I scraped a bit at the firewall and it looks like it should clean up easily.

Another thorough Zeibart job....

BTW, I see Jesus on that firewall right under the strap...

I've got this posted on EBay right now! Thanks for seeing that Commando1!!

The current bid for the firewall is now at $82,003.50
With a buy it now for $250,000.00:yaayy:

I'm going to be rich!!!0:yaayy:0:yaayy:0:yaayy:0:yaayy:0:yaayy:

On a more serious note, I am starting to think that this car was painted a metallic blue in one time of its' life.
Note the blue to the left of the above photo.
The rad support was the same colour yet the firewall has the off white colour...

Ok, the Polara is up on the jack stands and I have started removing brake lines.
The P/S box is off now and ready for cleaning..
I chuckle as to how much of a oil/grease ball this power plant has turned into over the years :)

I have lots of clean up to do.
The idler arm is shot but the rest of the suspension looks decent.
Brake hardware could be another story.
I am changing out the single MC for a dual MC with power boost

That's the downside to wanting to do something right.
You realize how caked with grease and grime they are.

As you scrape off the grease, you'll note that the Poly should be red. If we're doing things right...

Got the stub frame down to just having to unbolt it tomorrow. I got a flu shot then a pneumonia shot on the same day thankfully not in the same arm. It sure knocked me for a energy drain today..

The grease is a double edged thing right, it protects but is a pain to clean up..:sad1:
Enjoy the shots here!

Strangely though when I released the left torsion bar, it had some tension left in it.
I could get it to come aprt so, I plan to cut the front section off then work on the small pieces that are left attached to the underside

As promised, here is the Stub frame now removed and photos of why this had to be done..

I hope the forum admins don't mind me uploading so many shots..
