Scary what people consider a repair. Was this sitting in a field because the rest of the car looks good?

Uh, no it was a driver although it wasn't driven much in the past 5+ years..

The original restorer of the car paid more attention to the appearance than the actual mechanical and underside of the car.

My personal fav about this repair is the SELF TAPPING SCREWS!!!! - SCARY!!!!!!

Today was grind away at the firewall day..:yaayy:

found some ancient dirt in the wiper arm well and under the wiper motor recessed area.:buffer:
Felt like I was unearthing some part of history..:snow_plow_oz:

I even managed to remove the hood support arms without breaking any of the clips!! I am very happy!:yaayy:

The wiper well / firewall is a huge rust problem area. People allow leaves, pine needles and debris to get in there and it clogs the drain channels and holds moisture. That area and in the door jamb behind the fender where it drains, gotta keep those places clean

quite literally, I found a bunch of stones in the old stub frame and in the wiper well :happy3:
