The sub frame project has begun..

So I did some more sand blasting to day.
I found some past sins that were fixed with fiber glass..


the inner fender now weigh about 20lb's less each :D

They just don't make brake backing plates like this anymore..

No wonder why these cars weighed 4700+ lb's

In my opinion , your project points out one of the big advantages of the C body. the removable stub frame is a much better design as far as strength and repairability. if my B body had similar frame rust the car would probably be too expensive to repair. whereas your project looks like fun and doesnt require welding! job well done, Eh?

Everything is better on/in a C body..... never understood the infatuation of the stereotypical muscle car over the "big cars".
