Yesterday I tore apart the driver's side suspension on my 66 300. Since the passenger side was a breeze, I was in a hurry to get it disassembled and pulled a complete bone head move. I backed off the torsion bar all the way but forgot to support the LCA and loosened the rear strut rod bolt before the front. Perfect storm situation. It twisted the hell out of the strut rod. Good new is there are about 200 rust free ones about 1/2 mile from my house. Desert Valley is pulling one for me as we speak. Take your time and follow the FSM to a T, guys!
