What did you do to your C-body today....

Yesterday I tore apart the driver's side suspension on my 66 300. Since the passenger side was a breeze, I was in a hurry to get it disassembled and pulled a complete bone head move. I backed off the torsion bar all the way but forgot to support the LCA and loosened the rear strut rod bolt before the front. Perfect storm situation. It twisted the hell out of the strut rod. Good new is there are about 200 rust free ones about 1/2 mile from my house. Desert Valley is pulling one for me as we speak. Take your time and follow the FSM to a T, guys!

Sorted, repaired, painted, restored/repacked parts for restoration of 65 S.Fury which I pulled and took to second shop after a two year nightmare which was suppose to take two years. Resanding for repaint starts tomorrow!

I remember reading on several places you could jack the car up on the LCAs and as a result did not need to back out the bolt for the torsion bar adjustment. Granted, if you were actually changing the LCA (or at least the bushings) you probably could (or just have to remove the entire K-frame anyways), but for spindles I've heard that method works just fine.
 
Since the NY weather has been so crappy, and I'd sent the taillight bezels out to be chromed, thought i'd mess around with the lenses on the 77. I saw pictures of some other New Yorkers (First pic) and noticed that the leading edges of the lenses were painted silver / argent. I like the look so I did to mine. Some, not all the pics I saw also had the center of the lenses painted, I didn't like the look, so I didn't. Turned out nice I Think. At closer look though, I think they were painted in a chrome not silver, Im happy with the silver though..

Finished de-mousing some seat frames prior to re-upholstery. Found 2 little skeletons.

The original temp gauge on my Imperial shorted out internally and just need something of an indication so I got a cheap under dash gauge set. But you have to make sure it works right?

Was surprised to find it's fairly accurate, offset by just a couple degrees on the low side.
 
Finished my dash cluster with voltmeter instead of ammeter. I almost had the clock working but then not so much. Another day.

Looking good!
Regarding the clock, there are quartz conversion kits for them. I have done 3. The stock points / spring setup wears out, but can be reconditioned (filing the points, rewinding the coil, etc.).
 
I drove it! First time since Halloween when I experienced another electrical gremlin.
 
Last week the Budd brake spring clamps arrived from @detmatt for the 69 Imperial. Thanks again!
After learning the rotors were available through several sources when @Mr C replied to a post in the Carlisle 2021 thread, the front rotors were scored last year through a contact of @Xenon. With everything needed been gathered, it was time to go to work.

Printed labels for the new/ old harness connections. Starting the process of checking fitment and getting a new one made.

Ok Fellers.. need some help!! I have put an early to mid 70s duel snorkel air cleaner on my 77 New Yorker. The air filter from the previous air cleaner (OE) is too tall by a smige, so the lid on the duel snorkel doesn’t seal, can anyone tell me what filter you’re using for this set up? Appreciate your help.
