Update: Just found out over at Moparts that the current seller bought it off of CL for $2,000 two months ago.

I used to think so many things were wrong with the world, religion, politics, foreigners, Unions, Ceo's, greed, war, hunger, cats................the list is endless and I do believe at the top of that list should be the word flippers. They ruin everything...........

I gave $2250 for it when I purchased it. I put alittle over $400 in parts to fix the clutch problems,I had a flwheel to replace the one in it beacuse it was cracked it had to be surfaced so there is another $150 in parts and labor.Roughly $250 in fuel getting it here A $100 battery etc........... so if you think I made out like a bandit so be it you had your chance just like everyone else I know my time isnt worth much but get real, you guys act like I should have gave it away and counted my loses. That just doesent make sense, I didnt think c-body guys were like e-body people but it seems I may have been wrong........To all the non-haters Ill try to get pics of the 69 up soon I have a few Q's about it since im not all that familiar with these Thanks ozz

Whoa, Aaron. I didn't post that to infer anything. It was simply more background to a car for sale that generated a lot of discussion here.
Personally, I hope your buyer becomes a member here so I can stay up to date with a car that I am fascinated with. Congratulations on getting your price. Had the winner not taken it at the BIN price, more than likely you and I would be discussing delivery arrangements.

Awww Flipper...I love flipper, forgot about him.

You did nothing, how are my fenders?
They're doing just fine. It'b been 114 - 117 degrees here for a week straight now so all the paint may have baked off them by now but I don't think it's been hot enough to warp them LOL. Even the night time low hasn't been below 90 for 8 days now. Yeah it's hot but we still don't have rust!

I didnt mean it as a shot to you but, I should have broke up my reply I just dont like the use of the word flipper. I dont think that is what was done here, and the way I see it anyone who has ever sold a car is a flipper in some peoples eyes. Ive sold 2 cars in the last 15 years other than parts cars and they were both sold within a month to some one else I was happy with what I sold them for and if they made a little money so be it. If all these cars never got sold then there wouldnt be anyone new coming into the hobby. just my 2 cents worth. ozz

We had stupid heat here through July and into August. I dont think there has been a hotter summer. Not complaining about it, I love the heat. Finally getting some rain, July we had three drops and they never made it to the ground.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with offering cars up for sale that you own no matter how long you've owned them. I've been contacted by people who are interested in getting rid of cars but just not dealing with selling it themselves. If a fair deal can be made for everyone, no harm, no fowl! Helps me pay for my habit and it's also fun, i am constantly learning a lot about the different models, meeting lots of great people on both ends of the sale and hope to find some cars and parts that I might not want to sell!

The temperature doesn't bother me as much as the insane humidity. On the brighter side we only had the one big storm so far but no hurricanes yet this year.

Low 90's every day most of the summer and the humidity ain't bad.
Glad I moved to where it's cooler and no big storms or hurricanes...

I probably would of enjoyed Carlisle a lot more this year if the weather would of been just a little cooler and humidity a little lower. The temps were 102-105 and the heat index was well over 110 the whole weekend. That had to be the hottest Carlisle show I ever attended. I wish they would move the show to a spring or fall week.

Back on topic.

What's the deal with the winning bidder?
Is he going to do the car right or is it some punk from the hood who's going to Hoopty it with an ostrich skin interior and 26" wheels.

I'm worried about that car ending up in the wrong hands...

the good news is, a lot of those types may not know how to drive a 3 spd on the tree....bad news is, they could just decide to convert it to an automatic.

I will see if he will keep us up to date on how it turns out and what happens with it.
