attention squad savvy: questions about my 71' NJSP Fury

Is it possible to be behind the FRONT seat, in the seat backing??

On NCIS on television, they would have the whole car decoded frim that 1sq. inch with a few keystrokes on the computer within 10 minutes

26 end .....looks like your car only has the one tag...its been my experience that the 26 end is basicly end of the line.....

yes l realize that..is why a good pic of broadcast sheet would help eliminate the assumptions...lve still got a lot to learn to...is why lm here :O}

OK... I was pointing out that one shouldn't expect a 2nd tag with option codes on it when the codes stop half way through the fifth line of the tag. You could expect a 2nd tag regardless with special Handling, Special mask, special paint or all three

similar to this car ....

Hard to read but it looks like the VIN on your broadcast sheet is PE29K1F? That would be Plymouth, Economy, Sport Top, 360, 71, Newark NJ. If the 7th digit is E, that would be LA. Don't know LA built Fury's in 71.

Your's seems more consistant with police cars, Plymouth, Medium, 4 Door Sdn., 440 HP, 71, Newark.

Seems like someone changed the seats of the interior at one point, that would account for the incorrect broadcast sheet. I thought it was odd that a police car would have a cloth rear seat.

Earlier in the thread, he posted a close up of the VIN on the BS. It shows as PG...a typo.
The LA plant did not build C bodies.

I thought it said PG but I'm getting old so I thought I just needed to increase the power of my readers. :eek:ops:

Hopefully I'll get to removing the front seat, carpet, amd kickpanels this coming weekend. I didn't have enough time last weekend.

Possibly in the headliner but I would expect that when the seats were changed the broadcast sheet went with the original seats. Not every car has more then one build sheet, some don't have any but good luck. I hope you find one.

Hi just read this whole post, cool car regardless. "71" is my favourite year for all chrysler dodge models... The video of the car was interesting.. looks like a certified speedo, can you confirm? that would clinch it for me especially if there is no evidence of the dash being molested? cant see why some one would put a certified speedo in unless they are trying to pass the car of as a copcar to sell for better money?
