Refurbish time

Jeezus I feel like such a dweeb. False alarm. Bad exhaust leak on pass side and fan slapping the shroud a bit. Duh.

Those are anxious times when first firing an engine thats just been assembled and I think we are all ultra sensitive at that point. How'd it go once you took care of the issues?

It is definitely an exhaust leak. Next stop is a.reputable "pipe" shop. Not only is it leaking but one of the hangers in the rear snapped loose...rusted to all hell.

If you don't have a guy.... Muffler Mania on Haddon Ave in Haddon Township.
Thanks. I know a guy in Delaware who owns a couple classic caddys that suggested a place down there. "American Muffler" or something like that. Never been down there but no sale tax is attractive. I must have driven by the muffler mania place a million times and not realized taking my boy to.school.in Haddonfiled.

Yeah, they are behind the Valero station. Not the best place but they do nice work if you tell them what you want and how you want it.
I have had four cars done there and my dad had a few

Arrow Muffler on Delsea Dr in Sewell. While you're there you can check out the assorted 440 powered Darts they have in the works.

LOL, ummm, 1983? Actually the shop is next to my brother in laws auto body shop, they still do mufflers, but maybe not called Arrow...they still have the 440 Darts I think...

I was there about two maybe two and a half years ago. I saw and got pictures of the 440 Dart and a big block Dodge they had there as well.

LOL! No, actually the sons took over. They did a decent job of my 70 Challey and the various toyotas I've had throughout the years though.

My most recent experiance was Penn Muffler in Pensauken on RT 130. That's probably where I'll go when it is time for the vert. And I was there in July, so I know those guys are not dead yet!

Had my a body Plymouth Duster done there. They did a decent job on it. One of the places under consideration.

Yes, and you don't need an appointment, just walk in on any given Saturday before 2:30 and they turn the job around the same day. BTW, just got off the phone with my sister and Arrow is still there and it's the same two guys running the place!

Sounds pretty good, although I wouldn't expect a same day turnaround. I would rather they be meticulous and get it completely right the first time then fast. I can wait, esp. if they let me hang out there while its being done, lol. When some one else touches my car I want to make sure they are doing what I paid for the correct way. Penn seemed like one of those kinds of places when I was there, although they were only plumbing up just a thrash bucket 340 Duster.
