Looking good Rip, the red paint buffed out really nice.
I’ve been reading it as well. I’m on chapter 7, engine assembly, no spoilers I’d like to find out how it ends on my own!No. It tells you everything about how to remove a big block Mopar engine from your car, how to go about getting it rebuilt and finally how to re-install your engine, get it running and broken in. It has lots of tips regarding what to do from the first step to the last. I never would have been able to do my engine swap without this book.
Did you get the pic I texted you?Spring Nuts. . . How the hell do you get them off?!? I'm working on getting the regulator / power window motor removed from behind the rear quarter trim panel. The first step in the FSM sez: "Remove the spring nuts from behind the roller arm studs, and I can't figure out how to remove them. Can't get a small wrench or a small socket on them. What do I do? Do they just pop off? If so how? See the page from the FSM below:

The spring nuts pop off but 9 times out of 10 they are no good after that.
Make sure you have spares just in case.
I had not removed glass specifically from a 'vert but my experience tells me you can undo the regulator assembly and wiggle the roller through the slots of the glass..That's if you have room to do so.
Hope this helps
Did you get the pic I texted you?
Happy to help!Hey! Thanks Matt! What the hell?!? I have never seen anything like that. Without that picture, I would have had no clue as to what to do to remove the nuts.
Thanks again!
As everyone knows, the saga never ends. I just purchased new power top pistons and hydraulic lines for my 66 convertible. I started to get the old pistons removed and discovered it looks like ya gotta damn near remove the whole top mechanism to get to the top pin holding piston rod. Has anybody done this before? I thought this was a simple thing.
I think @rexus musta done this on his '65 300.
I wish I could help I bought everything years ago hit the same point you are at and decided not to touch mine. The only issue I was having originally was it was not going up evenly. After a while it started going up evenly and I never touched it.
Well. . . I was going the same route too, but the passenger side piston started leaking like crazy.
How much space tween the pin and door panel, Rip?
This and some chewing gum perhaps?

How about a washer super glued to a c-clamp and the clip super glued to the washer?
